Pablo Orio was born in Logrono, La Rioja (Spain)  in1975, being his father farmer, he was always attracted by the agriculture, especially viticulture.

He began his studies of undergraduate Bachelor Degree of Agricultural Engineering in the University of Rioja (Spain), and later he finished his Degree of Agronomist Engineering in the University of Lerida (Spain), his final project was executed in Espoo-Vantaa Institute of Tecnology EVITECH (Finland).

 

In 2001 he returned to his beloved Rioja to start working in Vinagrerias Riojanas, studying the multiplication of lactic bacteria.
In 2004 he started to work in the Reseach and Development Department in Bodegas Riojanas, S. A. Health Tips

Since then he has been developing diverse projects directed to the improvement of quality and control of the vineyard, as well as studying differents technologies for improving quality of the wines of Bodegas Riojanas. He is Research and Development Manager in Bodegas Riojanas and working in the Oenology Department.

While he was working, he studied his Oenology Degree in the University of Rioja and recently he has studied the Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wine and Spirit.

He is Master of Science and is finishing his Doctorate studies about “Early leaf removal: new technique for reducing compactness of grapes and yield”.

At the end of 2008 and after conducting a tasting which was organizing by the newspaper La Rioja, he decided to begin in the world of the blogs. Nowadays it is one of his hobbies, as well as his family and running.
